Esther's experience translating to mental health

Proven Across Health Systems and Global Markets

Health Economics & Policy

Esther began her career supporting healthcare economics and population health research delivered to governments and global institutions, shaping her systems-level understanding of healthcare access, incentives, and sustainability.

Biotech Commercialization

Over two decades in oncology, she guided therapies through global regulatory approval and commercialization, contributing to three successful biotech exits — including one that exceeded $1 billion, a leading oncology therapy at Johnson & Johnson.

Global Mental Health Ecosystem

Today she works globally with innovators, institutions, payers, and government partners to accelerate responsible mental health solutions while bridging the gap between innovation, reimbursement pathways, and investor confidence.

The Name Bezyl

The name Bezyl comes from a horse Esther trained while living in Israel - Bezelet, Hebrew for basalt, a stone formed under pressure.

It reflects a belief that defines the company: with the right structure, trust, and support, strength emerges.

Esther Howard founded Bezyl at the intersection of professional rigor and personal conviction.

Early in her career at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, she supported the work of health economist Dov Chernichovsky, contributing to healthcare reform proposals delivered to the Israeli government, the World Health Organization, and the World Bank. That experience shaped her systems-level understanding of healthcare infrastructure, sustainability, and measurable impact.

She later spent nearly two decades in oncology drug development, guiding therapies through global regulatory approval, operations, and commercialization.

Bezyl was built by applying that same discipline — validation, accountability, and strategic deployment — to mental health innovation.

After witnessing how fragmented and difficult it was for people and organizations to access trustworthy support, Esther set out to build infrastructure that strengthens both innovation and human connection — creating a pathway from idea to validation, responsible deployment, and sustainable commercialization.

Today she leads Bezyl’s global ecosystem work across Israel, the United States, and Canada, collaborating with innovators, institutions, and communities to accelerate responsible mental health solutions as the platform rapidly expands into new regions around the world.

At its core, Bezyl exists to help people help each other —
combining credible science, global talent, and emerging technologies to deliver mental health innovation that is human, measurable, and built to last.
